M. Robertson is an artist living and working in St. Louis. After completing her degree in Fine Art from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago with an emphasis in photography, her latest work continues to explore this genre through her work with the cyanotype technique. Discovered in 1842, cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print. The process uses two chemicals: ammonium iron(III) citrate and potassium ferricyanide, and the exposure to ultraviolet light from the sun.

“In Cipher, I have continued my theme of a hidden animal world full of symbols and ritual that upon which we can only speculate. Cipher is a riddle that I hope gives the viewer pleasure in interpretations and joy in the work’s asthetic ”
